About
Popular pine and monteverde recreation area near La Esperanza at about 1,000 m. Picnic tables, fixed fogones, toilets (ranger hours), a children’s play area and parking make it a favourite weekend stop, with waymarked trails nearby and an adjoining campsite for tents and mobile homes.
Fire & BBQ Safety
Fixed cooking facilities (fogones) may be available at this recreation area, but their use can be restricted or completely prohibited during periods of elevated wildfire risk. Check current Cabildo de Tenerife / Tenerife ON restrictions before lighting any fire. Fires are only for food preparation in designated fogones or using gas cylinders — portable barbecues are not promoted.

TF-24 La Laguna–El Portillo, turn at km 8.8 onto TF-274, then turn at km 0.8.
Camping:
Adjoining Cabildo campsite for tents and mobile homes — booking/authorisation via Tenerife ON required for camping stays.
Water on site (where provided) is generally NOT fit for drinking.
Bring your own charcoal/wood for fogones when cooking is permitted.
