About
Monteverde restoration picnic area at about 1,000 m above Ravelo. Tables, fogones, toilets during ranger hours, children’s play area and around 60 parking spaces, with an adjoining tent campsite and waymarked routes for walking and cycling.
Fire & BBQ Safety
Fixed cooking facilities (fogones) may be available at this recreation area, but their use can be restricted or completely prohibited during periods of elevated wildfire risk. Check current Cabildo de Tenerife / Tenerife ON restrictions before lighting any fire. Fires are only for food preparation in designated fogones or using gas cylinders — portable barbecues are not promoted.

Free access for individual visitors; organised groups usually need Tenerife ON authorisation for Cabildo sites.

Access:
From Ravelo centre, ascend Calle Lomo Las Piedras to Pista Las Calderetas. No public bus to the site.
Camping:
Adjoining Cabildo tent campsite — authorisation via Tenerife ON.
Water on site (where provided) is generally NOT fit for drinking.
Bring your own charcoal/wood for fogones when cooking is permitted.
