About
Major upper Valle de La Orotava recreation area above 1,200 m with misty pine forest, picnic tables, accessible fogones and adapted toilets. Family-friendly with a children’s area, parking and TITSA access, plus an adjoining campsite for tents and mobile homes.
Fire & BBQ Safety
Fixed cooking facilities (fogones) may be available at this recreation area, but their use can be restricted or completely prohibited during periods of elevated wildfire risk. Check current Cabildo de Tenerife / Tenerife ON restrictions before lighting any fire. Fires are only for food preparation in designated fogones or using gas cylinders — portable barbecues are not promoted.

Daylight hours only (sunrise to sunset) — Cabildo / municipal recreational area rules apply.
Free access for individual visitors; organised groups usually need Tenerife ON authorisation for Cabildo sites.

Access:
TF-21 La Orotava–Granadilla, turn at km 21.2. TITSA buses 345/346 (stop La Caldera 4253).
Camping:
Adjoining Cabildo campsite — authorisation via Tenerife ON.
Water on site (where provided) is generally NOT fit for drinking.
Bring your own charcoal/wood for fogones when cooking is permitted.
